Choose the field
This maker accepts 8, 16, 32, or 64 teams. Pick the size that matches the event you are modeling, then enter one distinct name on each line. The order matters: the first two names meet in the first match, the next two in the second, and so on. Check that order before making picks.
Handle other counts
If your event has another number of entrants, decide how it handles byes before using this tool. You can add explicitly labeled “Bye” slots only if that reflects the organizer’s plan, but each label must be unique in this maker and those slots will behave like teams. For a formal competition, use its published bracket instead.
Advance winners
Click a team in each opening match to place it in the next round. Continue until the champion slot is filled. If you change an earlier winner, later choices on that path clear automatically because they may no longer be possible. The other half of the bracket keeps its picks.
Review and print
Scan every round before printing. The print action opens your browser’s print dialog with the current bracket, where you may choose paper or Save as PDF. Keep the source team list separately if you expect to rebuild the bracket: changing the list creates a fresh set of matchups and clears picks.
Practical check
Before a real event, run a small eight-team rehearsal with placeholder names. Confirm that the first pair is the matchup you intended and that the champion appears only after each path has a winner. Then replace the sample list with the final field and build again. This rehearsal catches misunderstandings about input order before anyone spends time making picks.
